Leave No Trace
One of the ideals of the Boy Scouts is the idea of Leave No Trace. This slogan that is taught to the young scouts is to bring awareness to the impact of human presence in the outdoors. This action of leaving no trace is to pick up your trash after you are done camping or hiking. To leave the area that you were in as if you were never there. This topic was on my mind after going to my friend's property out in the desert. While we were off-roading, I saw people’s trash and car parts on the side of the roads, and sometimes in the middle of the roads as well. Seeing the trash was upsetting for my friends and me. When I was brought the opportunity to choose the topic of my next project, I called my friend and we set a date for us to make the four-hour drive out to the desert, to take photos of the issue so that I could present it and bring awareness to the problem.
